City Sprite Zelkova is a fast-growing compact deciduous tree with upward branches forming a dense vase-shaped crown and bark that exfoliates when mature. The lightly-toothed rich green foliage is thick with a texture like sandpaper, and turns orange-yellow to yellow in fall. Insignificant flowers and fruit. Best color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established and tolerates urban pollution.
