Alabama Coleus is a tender shade-loving evergreen perennial treated as an annual primarily grown for its dramatic foliage.  The ruffled foliage emerges yellow-chartreuse and matures to burgundy on contrasting chartreuse stems.  Its late summer bloom is non showy and is often removed to maintain foliage display.  Best color in part sun and moist, loose well-drained soils.
