Southern Red Cedar is a slow-growing coniferous tree with a loose spreading form.  The fine overlapping scale-like leaves are is deep green and aromatic when crushed.  The fleshy seed cones mature to a showy white coated blue.  Best planted in full sun and well-drained soils.  Drought, salt, and urban tolerant once established.
