Fire Island Hosta is a compact shade-loving herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its large rippled foliage on deep red stems that emerges bright gold and matures to chartreuse.  The tall scapes of lavender bell-like flowers raise up above the mound in mid-summer attracting butterflies and pollinators.  Best bloom in full shade and moist well-drained soils.
