Katsura Tree! The Katsura Tree, scientifically known as Cercidiphyllum japonicum, is a lovely deciduous tree native to Japan and China. It is highly regarded for its beautiful foliage and unique fragrance.

The leaves of the Katsura Tree are heart-shaped and emerge in spring with a reddish-purple color, turning green in summer, and then transforming into vibrant shades of yellow, orange, and pink in the fall. The autumn foliage is particularly stunning and emits a sweet scent, often described as a combination of caramel and cotton candy.

Katsura Trees prefer moist, well-drained soil and partial shade to full sun. They can tolerate a range of soil types and are generally low-maintenance once established. Pruning is usually not necessary, but you can remove any dead or damaged branches as needed.
