  • Description

Monrovia® Sago Palm is a very slow growing symmetrical evergreen shrub that, despite the name, is closer to a conifer than a palm.  The arching, palm-like palmate foliage with revolute edges sits atop a shaggy upright trunk creating a feathery rosette.   Grows best with part sun and consistently moist well-drained sandy soils.  Males produce upright yellow pollen cones, while females will produce round cones with bright red seeds if a male is nearby.  Does not flower when indoors.  Drought tolerant once established.
