Monrovia® Burgundy Spire Cordyline is a colorful broadleaf perennial often used as a tall house plant with long, broad grass-like foliage that gracefully arches with age and is rich deep burgundy depending.  If outside in summer tiny white fragrant blooms on red stems will appear but it rarely flowers indoors.  The best color occurs with bright indirect light and consistently moist well-drained peaty soils.  Grows quickly and can reach up to 8ft height and 3ft spread

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water when the first inch of topsoil is dry to the touch.  Lessen watering in winter. Fertilize with low-dose fertilizer 1-2 times a month during the growing season.  Too much sun will lead to fading and browning, to much water also browns but the leaves will become soft.  Excess water can lead to root rot.
