Confucius Hinoki Cypress is an evergreen conifer tree with an upright pyramidal habit and aromatic scale-like foliage. The foliage is a soft gold to bright green at the exterior with a darker interior, and can earn orange tones in fall. It produces small green-brown(female) to orange-brown(male) cones depending on gender. Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly but needs well-drained soil. Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds. In southern climates, young plants may burn with direct afternoon sun.
